Entre 1984 y 1989 Phil Collins ha liderado la lista de éxitos estadounidense Billboard Top 100 como cantante en ocho ocasiones, siete como solista y una con Genesis, banda de la que fue miembro entre 1970 y 1996.
Tras la salida de Peter Gabriel en 1975 se convirtió en el cantante solista del grupo, con el que ha tenido alguna colaboración esporádica desde 2007.

Paul Rodgers
Paul Rodgers (Middlesbrough, Inglaterra; 17 de diciembre de 1949) es un cantante británico, conocido por ser miembro fundador de las bandas Free y Bad Company. Ambas bandas disfrutaron del éxito internacional en la década de 1970. Antes de establecer su carrera en solitario, también fue miembro de The Firm y The Law. Entre 2005 y 2009 se reunió con dos miembros de Queen, formando la alineación llamada Queen + Paul Rodgers, con la cual salió de gira y grabó un álbum. Rodgers nació en Middlesbrough, ciudad del norte de Inglaterra. Tocaba el bajo (posteriormente tomaría el rol de cantante) en la banda local The Roadrunners, la cual poco antes de trasladarse desde Middlesbrough hacia la escena musical de Londres cambió su nombre a The Wildflowers. Otros miembros de esta banda fueron Micky Moody (futuro integrante de Whitesnake) y Bruce Thomas (quien después tocaría con Elvis Costello and The Attractions). Notabilidad director de Harrison era como un cantante de Spooky Tooth , una banda que en un principio uno de los fundadores, con Mike Kellie , Luther Grosvenor y Greg Ridley , y que Gary Wright se unió. Lighthouse
Lighthouse es una banda canadiense de jazz rock, formada en 1968 en Toronto, que incluía instrumentos de viento, instrumentos de cuerda y vibráfono; su música recogía elementos del rock, el jazz, la música clásica y el folk. Se disolvió en 1975.

Lighthouse se formó en 1968, en Toronto (Canadá), por el compositor Paul Hoffert y el batería Skip Prokop. La banda incluyó, originalmente, 13 miembros, entre ellos Howard Shore (que se haría famoso más tarde como compositor de bandas sonoras, especialmente El Señor de los Anillos). El grupo incluía secciones de viento y cuerdas, y fue una banda muy prolífica en la edición de discos.
Su primer álbum, titulado Lighthouse, se publicó en 1969, por RCA. Fue muy bien recibido por la crítica, pero obtuvo ventas muy reducidas. Después, llegó el álbum Suite Feeling, también grabado en 1969 en los Estudios «Toronto East Sound» de RCA. Este disco incluía dos versiones, «Chest Fever» de The Band, y el éxito de The Beatles, «A Day In The Life». Su tercer y último álbum para RCA , fue también el último con su cantante original, Pinky Dauvin. El disco, Peacing It All Together, no se grabó ya en Toronto, sino en Nueva York.

Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin fue un grupo británico de hard rock fundado en 1968 por el guitarrista Jimmy Page, quien había pertenecido a The Yardbirds. La banda estuvo integrada por John Paul Jones como bajista y teclista, el vocalista Robert Plant y John Bonham a la batería (que había coincidido con Plant en The Band of Joy).
Led Zeppelin presentó elementos de un amplio espectro de influencias, como el blues, el rock and roll, el soul, la música celta, la música india, el folk, y el country.

Más de treinta años después de la disgregación de la banda en 1980, la música de Led Zeppelin continúa vendiéndose, disfruta de una amplia difusión radiofónica, y ha demostrado ser una de las bandas más influyentes en la música rock. Hasta la fecha, ha vendido más de 300 millones de álbumes en el mundo, incluidos 111 millones sólo en los Estados Unidos. Es, junto a los Beatles, la banda con más discos de diamante de la historia de la música (otorgados cada diez millones de ventas en EE. UU.). Los discos con esta certificación son: Led Zeppelin IV (23 millones), Physical Graffiti (15 millones), Led Zeppelin II (12 millones), Houses of the Holy (11 millones) , Led Zeppelin I (10 millones) y Box Set (10 millones). En 2004, la revista Rolling Stone los clasificó en el número 14 en su lista de los «100 artistas más grandes de todos los tiempos».
Led Zeppelin se formó a finales de 1968 cuando Jimmy Page, que ya tenía cierta reputación en el Reino Unido por su labor como músico de estudio y por ser el último guitarrista de la banda The Yardbirds, buscaba nuevos músicos para su nuevo proyecto, The New Yardbirds (nombre que provocaba ciertos problemas legales), constituido a partir de la disolución de The Yardbirds. El nombre de la banda surgió a raíz de un chiste de Keith Moon, baterista de The Who (en una sesión de grabación de una canción de Jeff Beck en el que participaban Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, John Entwistle y el propio Keith Moon), cuando dijo que la banda fracasaría y caería «como un zeppelin de plomo». El nombre surgió en un principio como Lead Zeppelin (“zeppelin de plomo”), pero a recomendación de Peter Grant, el mánager de la banda, se suprimió la a de lead, para evitar problemas de pronunciación por parte de los hablantes norteamericanos, ya que las vocales ea se pronuncian como una i en el inglés de Norteamérica. Sin embargo, el bajista de The Who, John Entwistle, posee su propia versión de los hechos: «Hace unos cuatro años empecé a estar harto de los Who, así que hablé con un tío que ahora es jefe de producción de Led Zeppelin. Estuve hablando con él en un club, en Nueva York, y le dije “Sí, estoy pensando en dejar el grupo y formar el mío. Lo voy a llamar Led Zeppelin. Y como portada del disco voy a poner el Hindenburg en llamas, ya sabes, todo este asunto…” Y unos dos meses después, empezó a trabajar con Jimmy Page, y como estaban buscando un nombre, él sugirió Led Zeppelin, a Page le gustó y salieron con la misma portada de disco que yo había planeado». El jefe de producción al que se refiere Entwistle podría ser Richard Cole, futuro road manager de la banda.
The Yardbirds se separó en 1968, y Page y el bajista de la banda, Chris Dreja, comenzaron a buscar miembros para una nueva formación, mientras innovaban su música junto al guitarrista actual de The Bulens, J. Jencquel. El primer candidato para el puesto de vocalista fue Terry Reid, quien se negó a ser parte de la banda, pero recomendó a un amigo suyo llamado Robert Plant. En agosto de 1968, Page, Dreja y Peter Grant viajaron a Birmingham para ver la banda de Plant, Hobbstweedle. Plant aceptó la oferta de Page para entrar en la banda en una reunión en la casa de Page. Plant tenía un amigo que tocaba la batería, John Bonham, que también se uniría al grupo.8? Poco después de la llegada de Bonham, Dreja abandonó la música para convertirse en fotógrafo, por lo que los tres componentes de la banda se ven obligados a buscar un nuevo bajista. John Paul Jones, un amigo de Page y conocido músico de sesión, se enteró de la noticia y le propuso a su amigo su entrada en la formación, quedando cerrada la banda. Lo primero que hicieron fue ensayar un blues normal de 12 compases. En ese momento se vio la «química» que había entre los cuatro miembros. Su primer cometido fue acabar una gira pendiente en Escandinavia bajo el nombre de The New Yardbirds, en la que tocaron muchas de las canciones que forman parte de su álbum debut.

José Antonio Labordeta Subías (Zaragoza, 10 de marzo de 1935-ib., 19 de septiembre de 2010) fue un cantautor, escritor y político español, diputado en el Congreso por la Chunta Aragonesista en las legislaturas vii y viii.
Hijo de Miguel Labordeta y Sara Subías, era hermano del poeta Miguel Labordeta y se casó el 29 de septiembre de 1963 con Juana de Grandes, sobrina del general Agustín Muñoz Grandes. Tuvo tres hijas, Ana, Ángela y Paula; y dos nietas. Su sobrino Juan Manuel Labordeta es un cantante retirado, antiguo miembro del grupo musical humorístico Puturrú de Fuá.
Cursó sus estudios primarios en el Colegio Alemán de Zaragoza y en la escuela familiar, donde concluyó el bachillerato; se matriculó en derecho y, finalmente, se licenció en filosofía y letras por la Universidad de Zaragoza, que le nombró en 2010 doctor honoris causa. En 1964 aprobó las oposiciones de enseñanzas medias, como profesor de geografía, historia y arte y fue destinado al Instituto Nacional de Bachillerato Ibáñez Martín de Teruel, ciudad en la que residió seis años. Tanto en este como en el Colegio Menor San Pablo impartió clase a Joaquín Carbonell, Federico Jiménez Losantos, Federico Trillo y Manuel Pizarro.
Regresó a su Zaragoza natal en 1970, donde siguió impartiendo docencia en el colegio El Buen Pastor —como director y profesor de historia— y en el instituto de bachillerato Ramón Pignatelli —situado en el Alto Carabinas de Zaragoza—. En 1972 fundó, junto con Eloy Fernández Clemente —a quien había conocido en su estancia en Teruel—, la revista cultural Andalán.
En 1976 participó en la creación del Partido Socialista de Aragón y más tarde se presentó al Senado por Izquierda Unida. Ya como miembro de Chunta Aragonesista (CHA), fue elegido diputado por Zaragoza en 2000, y fue el representante de este partido aragonesista en el Congreso de los Diputados desde el año 2000 hasta el 2008. Fue afiliado del sindicato Comisiones Obreras desde 1977.
Acérrimo defensor del «no a la guerra» y contrario al trasvase del Ebro, fue un arduo defensor de los intereses de Aragón y los aragoneses y marcó una nota diferente en el hemiciclo. En un par de ocasiones llegó a un enfrentamiento verbal con algunos diputados del Partido Popular. En uno de ellos espetó su famosa frase «a la mierda». Él mismo decía que esta sería la frase que le pondrían como epitafio en su lápida, y explicaba que surgió debido a que había sido un día muy duro discutiendo sobre la guerra de Irak y le increpaban con frases del tipo «vete con la mochila a Teruel», y en el momento en el que alguien le dijo «qué me dices cantautor de las narices» no aguantó más y dijo la frase porque no le dejaban hablar.
José Antonio Labordeta falleció en la madrugada del 19 de septiembre de 2010, en el Hospital Miguel Servet de Zaragoza, a la edad de 75 años, a causa de un cáncer de próstata que le fue diagnosticado en 2006, y que le obligó a permanecer postrado en su casa los últimos meses de su vida.
El último acto público que protagonizó se produjo el 6 de septiembre de 2010, cuando los ministros de Defensa, Carme Chacón, y de Educación, Ángel Gabilondo, le entregaron en su casa la Gran Cruz de la Orden Civil de Alfonso X el Sabio; un reconocimiento que el Gobierno le concedió por su sabiduría, su pasión, sus convicciones y su defensa de la libertad y el pueblo, motivos por los que también le otorgó la Medalla al Mérito en el Trabajo.

Fue considerado uno de los principales exponentes de la canción de autor española. Inició su carrera musical en 1968 con el álbum Andros II, E. P. producido y editado por EDUMSA, que se publicaría posteriormente en la edición de Fuendetodos del libro de poesía Cantar y callar (1971). A este seguirían:
